2007 Green Gaels Travel Team
A team called the Green Gaels will be traveling to Prague on April 19th and returning April 26. The team is made up of players that either played for the Green Gaels or against us in the last 6 years. Here is an attachment regarding the tournament.
We are indeed looking for sponsorship as most of our players are still in school. They have all paid for their flights and I am trying to keep the cost to a minimum. I have also attached the sponsorship information. To date I have received 3 of the 6.
We have been approached every year since 2003 when we played the Czech Republic in an exhibition game prior to the World Indoor Championships. This year I decided the time was right. I have also attached a link to the host website that includes more information about the tournament including some clips.
Please feel free to forward any questions. There are a number of other people making the trip including parents for a total of 41 people. We are looking forward to this as Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
We have a couple of tours planned for the group and at least one exhibition game with the Czech National team. As is custom we are looking for Canadian trinkets/handouts for exchanging with our opponents prior to each game.
